SPECTER,
INCOMPETENT DEMS KEY TO GONZALES FIRINGS OBSTRUCTION
by Tom Flocco
Washington-April
18, 2007 / 10:30 PM EST-TomFlocco.com-
Notwithstanding recent incompetent questions and follow-up by Senate Judiciary
Committee Democratic members-certified by cable TV legal analysts like CNN's
Jeffrey Toobin, meritorious email evidence should stand to contradict tomorrow's
testimony by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
Intelligence agents are intimating that several secret grand juries probing the
crimes of the Bush administration are still operational in several states,
despite Mr. Bush's obstruction of justice in the firings of eight U.S.
attorneys.
Gonzales will tell the committee that he was not involved in selecting the
particular U.S. attorneys fired for reported professional reasons; however, a
June 6, 2006 email
contradicts his past statements.
The email from top aide Kyle Sampson shows that Gonzales was intimately involved
regarding the dismissal of San Diego U.S. attorney Carol Lam.
Following past tactics during the respective BCCI, Iran contra and Warren
Commission probes, Republicans Arlen Specter and Orrin Hatch have led the charge
to obstruct justice as to spin, questioning and arguing against the few
competent Democrat follow-ups able to convince an increasingly attentive public
that assertions regarding Lam's lack of immigration prosecutions was only a
pretext for her firing.
In reality Lam was pursuing a substantial trail of corruption and criminal acts
linked directly to the CIA's Dusty Foggo "poker party" sex ring and
Israeli espionage according to federal agency officials. http://www.tomflocco.com/fs/BushObstructedJustice.htm
"CIA'S Dusty Foggo sex ring and Israeli espionage"
In the email, Gonzales supports "a heart to heart with Lam to improve
immigration enforcement," and helping her "to develop a plan for
addressing the problem," even though no Justice official ever discussed the
issue with Lam, while numerous reports linked the firings to "political
issues" connected to congressional "corruption," much of which
was revealed in the email evidence.
This, while we have recently written that Lam's investigations go far deeper
into criminal matters which could well involve treason against the United
States, buttressed again by multiple U.S. intelligence agency sources.
So look to see if well-intentioned if not so competent Democratic senate members
press Gonzales with substantial and probing questions regarding WHAT the
attorneys were investigating which likely necessitated their dismissal and
WHETHER PRESIDENT BUSH HAD A HAND IN SELECTING which attorneys received the axe.
But also observe how Democrats deflect Specter and Hatch's consistent and open
attempts to thwart critical follow-up when Gonzales launches into filibustering
to absorb valuable time.
Think about it, Carol Lam had earlier sent GOP Congressman Randy
"Duke" Cunningham to prison and later secured indictments against CIA
number 3 and former Iran contra player Kyle "Dusty" Foggo and lobbyist
Brent Wilkes. She was fired the next day!
Was Lam doing her job too well? Was she supervising secret grand jury testimony
which would expand upon espionage links to convicted GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff,
Pentagon official Larry Franklin, Israel's AIPAC lobby group and a covert
attempt to plant weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to bolster Mr. Bush's case
for war?
Watch closely to see if Democrats pursue the jugular that is Israeli espionage
and potential treason. Not likely.
But House Oversight and Government Reform chairman Henry Waxman has quietly
become the one to watch if Americans really want justice for corrupt and
criminal acts committed by Mr. Bush and his associates.
So much so, that patriotic Americans know that Waxman's life is probably in
danger given the track record of the Bush-Clinton crime families. All Americans
who want justice should pray for Mr. Waxman's safety.
The real action will probably be in the People's House of Representatives if
Schumer and company can't get their prosecutorial act together. Probable.
This is serious stuff despite current overwhelming news coverage of the Virginia
Tech massacre which conveniently stifles the important Gonzales testimony
tomorrow morning.
While Lam was going after GOP criminal acts with a vengeance, all the evidence
indicates that Justice officials were plotting her removal via trumped up
immigration enforcement-popular with most southern Californians-before she could
generate a firestorm of likely impeachable acts or worse.
During reported weekend testimony before the Senate, Sampson said on June 6,
senior Justice officials, including Sampson, number 3 DOJ official William
Mercer, Gonzales' former counselor Jeffrey Taylor, the new Washington, DC U.S.
attorney and others discussed the potential dismissal of Carol Lam.
All well and good; and yes, meritorious and substantial evidence. But will
Democrats seek the heart of the matter?
What was Carol Lam investigating that got her fired? The evidence proves it was
NOT immigration cases. And will the public ever find out the truth, weak
questioning skills notwithstanding?
Americans should watch to see if Chuck Schumer and his Democratic colleagues
redeem their weak performance during recent public hearings during the Sampson
testimony and whether they acknowledge their lackluster questioning skills by
enlisting the support of perhaps better prepared questioners from within the
ranks of their senate staffs.
Despite the unspeakable but politically convenient tragedy in Virginia which
will greatly reduce the impact of the Gonzales testimony, Democrats are flirting
with the potential to overwhelm the Bush administration with criminal
allegations which could secure them an electoral majority lasting another
generation.
And don't give up yet. Mr. Bush only obstructed eight investigations of his
corrupt administration.
Intelligence agents say there are additional and ongoing secret probes still
operational in the U.S.A.
And these same grand juries are watching Mr. Bush and his associates continue to
obstruct justice while reports indicate the jurors are not very pleased.
This, given the criminality asserted by numerous federal agents and military
officials rapidly losing patience with inept congressional opposition oversight
regarding damning evidence, not to mention American national security facing
decimation by Mr. Bush's destruction of military recruiting and retention caused
by forcing troops to pursue a failed war based upon manipulation of intelligence
and failure to protect the nation's porous borders.
Democrats should be calling for the Office of Naval Intelligence to arrest the
President and Vice President for war crimes and treason.
Yet they can't even muster a House Judiciary Committee impeachment inquiry to
ascertain whether Mr. Bush has committed impeachable offenses.
There, we said it. The "I" word and the "T" word.
We would also say to House Speaker Nancy "impeachment is off the
table" Pelosi, in the words of Sir John Harrington (1561-1612):
"Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? For if it prosper, none
dare call it treason."
