"A coup d' etat has been described
as 'a sudden action by which an individual or group, usually employing limited
violence, captures positions of governmental authority without conforming to
the formal requirement for changing officeholders, as prescribed by the laws
or constitution.' A successful coup requires a number of elements: extensive
planning and preparation by the sponsors (those responsible for the coup); the
collaboration of the Praetorian Guard (officials whose job is to protect the
government, including the President); a diversionary cover-up afterwards; the
ratification of the assassination by the new government inheriting power; and
the dissemination of disinformation by major elements of the news media. If
this concurrence of events has a familiar sound, it is because this is exactly
what happened when John Kennedy was murdered." ( Jim Garrison, New
Orleans District Attorney, ON
THE TRAIL OF THE ASSASSINS, p. 325, Warner
Books, 1988 )
"Frank [Klein] could not stay away from it [Kennedy
investigation], and neither could I....This is the front page of the Dallas
Morning News for November 22, 1963...I gestured to the large diagram on
the paper's front page, indicating the route of the presidential parade...It
covered almost five-sixths of the front page...The diagram indicates that the
President's parade was supposed to continue on Main Street through the center
of Dealey Plaza—without ever leaving Main...If that was the presidential
parade route up there on Main...How did he get way down here on Elm?...The
motorcade turned right on Houston and went down onto Elm...where the motorcade
made that sweeping 120-degree left turn you are looking at, which had to slow
the President's car down to about ten miles an hour...Are you telling me
that at the last moment they just moved the President of the United States off
of his scheduled route to here where the [Texas School Book] Depository is?...I
haven't read a damned word about that anywhere. How can they keep something
like that a secret for three years?...Where were the Dallas Police...and the
Secret Service? And the FBI?...Was the Warren Commission blind?...Would you
like to see the Dallas Morning News front page introduced as a Commission
exhibit?...They just removed the entire motorcade route from the front
page...On five-sixths of the front page where the diagram of the motorcade
route was supposed to be was nothing but a large square of solid gray...And
this has been printed as an official exhibit by the Warren Commission? [Chief
Justice Earl Warren, future President Gerald Ford, etc.]...And just what the
hell are we supposed to call this? [asked Klein]...This is what you call, I
replied...a coup d' etat." ( Jim Garrison, New Orleans District Attorney,

BUSH 41 REVIVES LINKS TO
JFK WARREN COMMISSION OBSTRUCTION
George Bush Sr. cites JFK Warren report at Ford funeral despite evidence
placing him in CIA, near murder scene
By Tom Flocco
Washington—January 13, 2007—TomFlocco.com—In his funeral eulogy
for former President Gerald R. Ford last week at the National
Cathedral, former President George H. W. Bush surprisingly focused renewed
attention on the controversial Warren Commission final report on the
assassination of President John F. Kennedy and why Ford's reputation should be
reason enough never to reopen the JFK murder case—despite substantial
evidence of a cover-up.
At the very outset of his remarks televised worldwide, the
elder Bush revived evidence placing himself—the 39 year old future president
and then Central Intelligence Agency member—at the door of the Texas Book
Depository in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963 immediately after Kennedy's
assassination, after which CIA agent George Bush Sr. received an FBI oral
assassination briefing despite his past denials of agency affiliation,
authenticated by a November 29, 1963 FBI memo signed by Director J. Edgar
Hoover and obtained via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.
In the third paragraph of his eulogy, the elder
Bush spoke about former President Gerald R. Ford's role in the JFK murder
probe while the slain President's brother Senator Ted Kennedy listened
intently several rows behind Bush 41: "After a deluded gunman
assassinated President Kennedy, our nation turned to Gerald Ford and a select
handful of others to make sense of that madness. And the conspiracy theorists
can say what they will, but the Warren Commission report will always have the
final definitive say on this tragic matter. Why? Because Jerry Ford put his
name on it and Jerry Ford's word was always good."
Meritorious evidence and living witnesses can prove that Congress and the
Warren Commission covered up and permitted what amounted to an overthrow of
the U.S. government—while subsequent congressional committees have
obstructed justice to protect high government officials, disregarding the fact
that there is no statute of limitations for murder in the United States which
would allow the appointment of an independent criminal prosecutor and the
reopening of the Kennedy assassination case.
An authentic photo of the elder Bush at the Texas Book Depository can be
verified by the intelligence operatives who took the picture and who will
testify if subpoenaed, according to U.S. intelligence expert Thomas Heneghan,
who provided TomFlocco.com with the photo which was leaked to several
others.
A careful examination of the book ON
THE TRAIL OF THE ASSASSINS by Jim Garrison, the
analysis of Abraham Zapruder's private film footage shot during the Kennedy
assassination which disproves Warren Commission attorney and current GOP
Senator Arlen Specter's "magic single bullet theory"—easily viewed
in the last 40 minutes of the Oliver
Stone movie JFK, circumstances regarding the suspicious
deaths of assassination witnesses and some 500
photos shot by news photo journalists covering the Kennedy motorcade and
subsequent arrests of suspects after JFK’s murder will lend
substantial credence that Warren Commission members including President Gerald
R. Ford certified with their signatures a criminal overthrow of the U.S.
government.

“THE
MAN IN THE LONG COAT”
Here is one of some 9-12 persons taken into custody by the Dallas
police shortly after the assassination and later released — sans
records of any kind. Notice the length of this individual’s coat
(6-7 inches longer than the length the of average American male’s
suite or sport jacket). Notice the remarkably straight line down the
right-hand side of the jacket, from the breast pocket area to just
below the-side pocket. Notice the small, sharp bulge along the
straight line just adjacent to the bottom of the tie. |
The adjacent photo shows an individual strongly
indicating that he is concealing a rifle underneath an ill-fitting sport
jacket, suggesting it was worn specifically for that purpose, while
unconcerned Dallas police officers failed to handcuff a suspect caught at the
scene of the murder of a U.S. president.
Garrison commented on the photos, adding "As far as I knew, the hoboes
and tramps who used to ride the rails in bygone days wore their hair shaggy
and overgrown, an inevitable result of life on the road. But each of these men
had a noticeably short and recent haircut. And 8 x 10 pictures left no doubt
that each was clean shaven as well. The three men had on rough shabby
clothing, but it appeared to be quite clean. And while real hoboes invariably
had thin, worn-out soles on their shoes, befitting their precarious economic
status, there were no thin soles in these photos."
"I found myself, once again, thumbing through the photographs of the men
under shotgun arrest. The journalists who had taken these photographs
certainly had not tried to conceal anything. Plainly, they had arrived at the
scene as soon as possible and taken as many pictures as they could. They had
rushed back to their editors with the results," said Garrison, adding
"Any one of these photographs was a potential Pulitzer Prize winner a
hundred times over. Collectively, they were among the most important
photographs ever taken. Why, then, had the editors and the publishers of the
newspapers involved not seized the opportunity to be the first into print with
these great photographs"?
One has to wonder what Garrison would have written in his book in 1988 if he
had seen the photo of newly-elected President George H. W. Bush—then at age
39— standing in 1963 at the door of the Texas Book Depository after
President Kennedy was murdered and examined the J. Edgar Hoover FBI memo
proving that Bush 41 was involved in Cuban intelligence while an active
39-year-old member of the CIA at the time of the assassination—all of which
the former president has repeatedly denied.
According to the New Orleans DA, "even after being informed by Texas
officials at Parkland Hospital of the law requiring an autopsy in Texas, the
Secret Service hijacked President Kennedy's body and got it aboard Air Force
One for a military autopsy in Bethesda, Maryland. And before the day was over,
the Secret Service also cleaned out the President's limousine—washing away
bullet fragments with buckets of water," raising evidence tampering
issues.
Given evidence linked to a former president which was not available at the
time to Garrison and other investigators or authors, Congress has continued to
obstruct justice in its failure to raise questions as to why Bush Sr. would
even choose the Ford funeral to mention the Warren Commission, conspiracy
theorists and "Jerry Ford put his name on the report and Jerry Ford's
word was always good," drawing the public's attention to sleeping dog
evidence and witnesses.

'Here's Johnny' and the photos
A dramatic illustration of the intensity of the corporate media cover-up of
Kennedy assassination evidence was exhibited in Garrison's description of his
incredible appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show sometime between 1967
and 1969 when a young Johnny Carson beginning his long reign as a late-night
talk show king (ON
THE TRAIL OF THE ASSASSINS, p. 244-248):
 |
"I was not sure if the Dallas police force had been
penetrated, or impersonated, or both. As I put the prints of the shotgun
arrests in my briefcase, I resolved that anyone watching the Johnny Carson
Show the following night was going to get to see them. The next day I went to
Carson's NBC offices as scheduled...Three or four well-dressed men, obviously
all attorneys, entered the room. They questioned me for several hours
on just what my responses would be if I were asked particular questions. I
fielded the questions and my answers were recorded."
"Carson...seemed stiff and ill at ease...I noticed that his desk was
covered with typewritten question and answers...When in frustration he asked
me why the government was still concealing evidence, as I had contended, I
knew that my moment to show the photographs had arrived. 'Maybe I'd better
show you pictures.' "
 |
|
|
Before anyone could stop me, I was holding in front of the
camera one of the big photographs showing the three men being marched off by
the Dallas police with their shotguns. It took Carson a moment to recognize
the scene, but when he realized what it was, he lunged at my arm like a cobra,
pulling it down violently so that the pictures were out of the camera's view.
'Photographs like this don't show up on television,' he said."
"I held the picture up again for display in front of the camera. 'Sure
they do,' I replied. 'The camera can pick this up.' This time Carson yanked my
arm down even harder. 'No, it can't,' he snapped. Nevertheless, I swung the
picture up for the third time. This time, however, I saw the red light blink
off and realized that the director of the show had cut the camera off...Then,
before anyone could change the subject, I said loudly, 'Those arrested men you
just saw were never seen again. They all got away.' "
This striking example of corporate-controlled media covering up real news
involving criminal acts in government has been repeated over and over again
right up through September 11 and the Iraq War because powerful agency
individuals behind the scenes have been employing secret “control
files" containing such evidence as infidelity, pedophilia, and financial
improprieties to blackmail and seek favors from congressmen and senators who
have the mandated responsibility of oversight and investigation of
governmental crimes.
FBI prior warning—and obstruction of justice
ON
THE TRAIL OF THE ASSASSINS lists several critical evidence issues
seemingly obstructed by the Warren Commission and later congressional
committees in the House and Senate.
While attorney and author Mark Lane was researching his book Citizen's
Dissent, he broke a major story involving prior knowledge of the
assassination, according to New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison.
"...he [Lane] happened to meet a former FBI employee named William S.
Walter. During their conversation Walter mentioned that on Novermber 17,
1963—five days before the assassination—he had been the night clerk on
duty at the Bureau's New Orleans office when a warning about a possible
presidential assassination attempt came chattering through on the teletype
machine. Walter immediately called five agents and considered his work
done."
According to Garrison, "In 1976, Walter gave a copy of the text of the
FBI telex to the Senate Intelligence Committee chaired by Senator Richard
Schweiker of Pennsylvania. After the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) was
passed Lane also obtained a copy of the warning telex and made it available to
me. This is what it said:
"URGENT: 1:45 AM EST 11-17-63 HLF 1 PAGE
TO ALL SACS:
FROM: DIRECTOR
THREAT TO ASSASSINATE PRESIDENT KENNEDY IN DALLAS TEXAS NOVEMBER 22 DASH

REVOLUTIONARY GROUP MAY ATTEMPT TO ASSASSINATE PRESIDENT KENNEDY ON HIS
PROPOSED TRIP TO DALLAS TEXAS NOVEMBER TWENTY TWO DASH TWENTY THREE NINETEEN
SIXTY THREE. ALL RECEIVING OFFICES SHOULD IMMEDIATELY CONTACT ALL CIS, PCIS
LOGICAL RACE AND HATE GROUP INFORMANTS AND DETERMINE IF ANY BASIS FOR THREAT.
BUREAU SHOULD BE KEPT ADVISED OF ALL DEVELOPMENTWS BY TELETYPE. OTHER OFFICES

"...when the assassination occurred, he [Walter] was eating lunch but
immediately ran back to the New Orleans Bureau office. In the file he found
the warning telex along with a duplicate which had soon followed it. At the
time he copied the exact phraseology of the telex warning and kept it. Shortly
afterwards he checked the file again to see if the warning was still there. It
had been removed."
"The telex had been most explicit, naming both a place and dates for the
attempt to assassinate the President. It was addressed to all special agents
in charge, which meant every on the country, including Dallas. And yet the FBI
did nothing. There is no record that it notified anyone—not even the Secret
Service, which as the President's bodyguard should have been informed
immediately....nearly five years had passed since the assassination. But in
that time none of the five agents Walter had called that morning of November
17 ever hinted to the American people or to the Warren Commission that the FBI
had received a specific warning about the assassination five days before it
occurred."
Smoking gun Nixon tapes link Bush 41 to Watergate, the 'Texans' and 'the
Bay of Pigs thing'
There is evidence that one of the main reasons President Richard Nixon ordered
the Watergate break-in was for the purpose of locating many of the
incriminating photographs referred to above that were taken after the Kennedy
assassination by photo journalists.
In his book THE IMMACULATE DECEPTION—THE BUSH CRIME FAMILY EXPOSED
[1991, America West Publishers, pp. 31-39], retired U.S. Army Brigadier
General Russell Bowen also referred to the Hoover memo, revealing that the
FOIA lawsuit also publicized an FBI report regarding a man identifying himself
as "George H. W. Bush" who telephoned the FBI's Houston office
within hours of Kennedy's death with information about a threat allegedly made
against JFK by a young right-wing Republican.
The FBI report referred to by Bowen stated "On November 22, 1963, Mr.
George H. W. Bush, 5535 Briar, Houston, Texas telephonically advised...that
one James Parrott had been talking of killing the president when he comes to
Houston."
On pages 33-36 General Bowen recounts the full details of a government effort
to misidentify George H. W. Bush as George William Bush in an effort to cover
up the future president's role in the events of November 22, 1963.
 |
Bowen wrote "
JFK—Academy-Award
winning film director Oliver Stone's three-hour high-voltage inquisition into
the assassination of John F. Kennedy, is the most controversial film in recent
history," while also quoting Stone as saying "Every paper and
magazine in America has devoted more space in the last three months to
attacking my attack on the Warren Commission than they devoted in the previous
28 years to examining the Warren Commission...My question is, 'Why are they so
scared of this movie?' What are they defending?"
Many Kennedy assassination cognoscenti are unaware that George H. W. Bush was
also linked to a “smoking gun" tape transcript released by the White
House on August 5, 1974, according to General Bowen, referring to a June, 1972
conversation between Nixon and his Chief of Staff H. R. Haldeman.
Bowen said the tape linked Bush 41 to a "money laundering mechanism which
Bush, along with Bill Liedtke and Robert Mosbacher, Bush's partner, had helped
to set up at Nixon's request in Mexico."
"During that June 23, 1972 taped exchange, Nixon told Haldeman to order
Richard Helms at the CIA to stop the FBI investigation into the transfer of
funds from Texas and Minnesota through Mexico City into the coffers of the
Committee to Re-Elect the President (CREEP), and from there into the hands of
the 'Plumbers' arrested in the Watergate building."
 |
George
H.W. Bush and Eisenhower.
Bush had been chairman of the Eisenhower-Nixon campaign in Midland,
Texas, in 1952 and 1956. Bush sought Eisenhower’s endorsement for
his failed senate race in 1964. |
George H. W. Bush's concern according to General Bowen,
centered around "Nixon's references to 'the Texans,' and 'some Texas
people,' of whom Bush, Liedtke and Mosbacher were most prominent. The
potential threat to Bush's political ambitions was staggering."
In the “smoking gun" taped discussion, Nixon also links "the
Cubans," "the Texans," "Helms," "Hunt,"
"Bernard Barker," "Robert Mosbacher," and "the Bay of
Pigs," according to the retired General.
"Over and over on the Watergate tapes, these names come up in the
discussions of the photos from Dallas that Nixon was supposedly trying to
obtain in the Watergate burglary," said Bowen.
During his illegal 10-month political incarceration, federal whistleblower Stewart
Webb met other federal political prisoners who told him that Mosbacher,
George H. W. Bush and former Bush 41 Secretary of State James Baker were
connected to Houston Energy Partners which was linked to an Iraqi-run Boca
Raton, Florida chemical plant profiled in a document and photo-laden
TomFlocco.com story, Government
Officials Profited From Illegal Arming of Iraq.
Gulf War veterans (past and future) may want to question why Baker's law
firm was involved in the legal billings of an Iraqi terrorist's cyanide gas
precursor company in Boca Raton.... and why senior House and Senate members
have continued to obstruct justice by refusing to investigate how
"vast" Baker's and the Bush cabinet's financial conflicts were—and
given the current catastrophe in Iraq—why Bush 41 was allowing an Iraqi-run
chemical weapons plant to operate in Florida!
Watergate burglar confirms photo links to Kennedy assassination and role of
Bush 41
Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis confirmed the importance of assassination
photos like the one above of Bush 41 and others at the Texas Book Depository
when he told the San Francisco Chronicle in a May 7, 1977 interview,
"the reason we burglarized the Watergate was because Nixon was interested
in stopping news leaking relating to the photos of our role in the
assassination of President John Kennedy."
The Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein book, The Final Days, also
confirmed George H. W. Bush's deep concern about the [Nixon] tapes when White
House Congressional liaison William Timmons wanted to make sure that everyone
had been fully briefed about the smoking gun transcript being released to the
public. He turned to Nixon political counselor Dean Burch:
"Dean, does Bush know about the transcript yet," Timmons asked.
Burch replied, "Yes." "Well, what did he do?" Timmons
asked. "He broke out in a**holes and sh*t himself to death," was
Burch's answer, confirming that anytime Nixon referred to "the
Texans," he meant George Bush Sr.
In 1974 the Rockefeller
Commission of the U.S.
Congress reportedly regarded E. Howard Hunt and Watergate burglar Frank
Sturgis as suspects in the Kennedy assassination. Newsweek magazine
reported and printed photographs of two men bearing the likeness of Hunt and
Sturgis who were detained at the grassy knoll shortly after the assassination.
The Newsweek article said that official reports indicated the men were
released and were only "railroad bums" who would find shelter
sleeping in the boxcars of the trains located near the grassy knoll. According
to Newsweek, the men were released without further inquiry. The
Newsweek article asked readers to make their own judgment from the
pictures published.
A high-ranking and long-time U. S. intelligence source with impeccable
credentials alleged to TomFlocco.com that the mob was involved in the
assassination for the money. I'm talking about 1,400 strip joints, drugs,
prostitution, loan sharking, etc., the intelligence agent told us, “but [JFK
Attorney General] Bobby Kennedy was putting heat on the mafia after the mob
helped put Jack Kennedy in office by stuffing ballot boxes and using 'dead
voters.' "
“Jack Kennedy was thought to have owed the mob but they felt betrayed
because Bobby was going after them with a vengeance; so as far as I know, the
president was shot in great part due to mob betrayal; but strong cases could
certainly be made for the Cuban issue, Jack's exposing CIA and Federal Reserve
illicit operations, the drugs, prostitution and loan-sharking, or his publicly
undisclosed intention to bring U.S. forces home from Viet Nam," said the
intelligence agent, indicating there was a lot of baggage involved.
The intelligence agent told us "we knew that Lee Harvey Oswald was the
patsy for the hit and that Jack Ruby was assigned to kill Oswald before he
could talk on the morning after his arrest. The New Orleans mafia had all the
players in line because mob boss Sam Giancana was made to look like a fool in
front of his associates for backing Kennedy and fixing the Chicago
presidential vote for his election."
"I was told that Giancana even went to old Joe Kennedy and asked him to
tell Bobby to back off the mob; but nothing was done, so they whacked JFK,"
he said.
"Heck, there were guys sitting in DEFCON FOUR with sensitive nuclear
codes, launch vehicles with missiles—they were within eight minutes of
'flushing the birds,' thinking it was Russia that whacked the president. There
would have been 120 missiles sent into Russia at the time," the source
told us, while also confirming our talks with Tom Heneghan who said Russian,
British and French agents were all at Dealey Plaza on the day of the
assassination.
Permindex hit teams, Clay Shaw, Bush 41, Cuba and the Federal Reserve
 |
|
G.H.W.B
1948
|
Reportedly involved in the events of November 22, 1963 was
a British currency and money laundering entity called “Permindex,"
which also contracted assassins and paramilitary teams for extra-governmental
operations, according to Heneghan.
Jim Garrison referred to Perindex in On The Trail of the Assassins because
Kennedy assassination co-conspirators Clay Shaw and David Ferrie had secretly
traveled to Montreal, Canada in 1961 or 1962, the home city of Major L. M
Bloomfield, a former agent with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the
forerunner of the CIA who was a board member and major stockholder of Italian
firm Centro Mondiale Commerciale of which Permindex was an offshoot entity.
Stunningly, Garrison also wrote: "As for Permindex, which Clay Shaw also
served as a director, the Italian Press revealed that it had, among other
things, secretly financed the opposition of the French Secret Army
Organization (OAS) to President Charles de Gaulle's support for independence
for Algeria, including its reputed assassination attempts on de Gaulle."
Thus Centro Mondiale through Permindex was already in the business of
assassination of governmental leaders; and besides the specific JFK links in
Clay Shaw and David Ferrie, the Italian newspaper Paesa Sera stated
"the Center was the creature of the CIA...set up as a cover for the
transfer of CIA...funds in Italy to clear up the presence on the
administrative Board of Centro Mondiale of Clay Shaw and ex-Major (of the OSS)
Bloomfield."
The British agent allegedly involved in the assassination attempt against De
Gaulle was Lord Louis Mortimer Bloomfield, chairman of Permindex and head of
the North American desk for British Intelligence for command and control,
according to Heneghan.
For purposes of the links to the former CIA Director and President, George H.
W. Bush—who FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover linked directly to Cuban
intelligence in the explosive November 29 post assassination memo regarding
Bush 41—exiled Premier of Hungary and Fascist movement financier Ferenc Nagy
was also a director of Centro Mondiale who the Italian press described as the
President of Permindex.
Garrison said key assassination figure "Jack Ruby had a special
relationship with the Dallas office of the FBI. In 1959 Ruby met at least nine
times with the Dallas Bureau's agents...he took two flights to Cuba. One was
for eight days. The other was an overnight turn-around flight. Earlier I the
1950s he had consulted a war supplies dealer about the purchase of 100 jeeps,
one of the most valuable items for the rebels in Cuba whom the CIA was
supporting at that time. On another occasion, he was deeply involved in gun
running for the Cuban rebels supported by the Agency."
The DA added that Ferenc Nagy..."maintains close ties with the CIA which
link him with the Miami Cuban colony," and Nagy subsequently emigrated to
the United States while curiously settling in Dallas, Texas, according to
Canadian newspaper Le Devoir in 1967.
Tom Heneghan said Permindex was also involved in the infamous "Day of the
Jackal," involving the attempted assassination of French President
Charles De Gaulle in 1962, the year prior to the Kennedy assassination.
Reports also indicate that Congress and the Warren Commission covered up CIA
files on Lee Harvey Oswald which were in existence well before the Kennedy
assassination, an issue also addressed by Garrison.
According to Lenny Bloom of
www.CloakandDagger.de., it was the U.S. government which paid Lee Harvey
Oswald's plane trip home from Russia, referred to as the "Lee Harvey
Oswald Repatriation Loan, Volume 18, page 308, The President's
Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, also known as the
Warren Commission Report, perhaps one of the smoking gun pieces of
evidence proving the U.S. government paid for the "patsy's" travel
expenses to come home to be set up as the fall-guy for the Kennedy
assassination.
Bloom also told TomFlocco.com that Oswald had access to KGB facilities
and assets such as arranging for a body double, since his wife Marina was the
niece of a high-level colonel in the KGB, providing confirmation of the U.S.
military's two-inch difference in Oswald's height measurement during his
physical upon returning from "out in the cold."
Heneghan's U.S. intelligence sources say that Permindex wanted to sell nuclear
technology to Israel at the time, adding that the U.S. Federal Reserve was
linked through Permindex to the nuclear technology sale via money laundering
activities; moreover, President Kennedy signed an executive order issuing two
and five dollar silver certificates to make the illegal activity more
difficult for the Fed—another possible factor leading to his assassination.
Kennedy also reportedly planned to dismantle the CIA and the Federal Reserve
while exposing their illicit operations, pull out of Viet Nam and commence
executive orders and support of laws for civil rights—for which Lyndon
Johnson ultimately received the credit.
Witnesses
have also connected George H. W. Bush to JFK Jr.'s airport and the 1999 White
House oval office assassination plot prior to his murder; and Special
Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's Washington grand jury will be hard pressed not
to probe the Hoover FOIA lawsuit links and new evidence linking Bush Sr. to
events surrounding the assassination of John Jr.'s father, JFK., as
meritorious evidence and testimony regarding John Jr.'s likely assassination
is reportedly under a secret active probe by prosecutors.
All this gives rise to serious grand jury questions: Why has Bush 41
denied being in the CIA on November 22, 1963? Why did Bush 41 [at the age of
39] receive a full briefing on JFK's assassination days after the event? What
does Bush 41 know about Hoover's meeting in Dallas on the night before the
assassination? Who else was at the meeting? What did they discuss? Why did
Hoover specifically name Bush in the FBI memo? Why didn't General Bowen, who
had direct knowledge of some of the above events, receive a subpoena for
testimony before the Warren Commission?
Witnesses saw several gunmen in the Texas Book Depository
Jim Garrison highlighted several examples of evidence indicating that several
gunmen were involved in the assassination according to testimony and
affidavits he was able to acquire:
"The gunfire coming from in front of the presidential limousine had
satisfied me that Lee Oswald was not the lone killer of John Kennedy,"
said Garrison in On the Trail of the Assassins. "The 'admission
note' at Parkland Hospital, signed by Dr. Robert McClelland, described the
cause of death as a 'massive head and brain injury from a gunshot would of the
left temple'—a location customarily accepted as being in the front of one's
head. And yet it was unanimously acknowledged that at the time of the shooting
Oswald was in the School Book Depository, well to the President's rear."
"Carolyn Walther, employed at the nearby Dal-Tex building, also was
standing on the east side of Houston Street. According to a statement she gave
to the FBI, Walther watched the ambulance arrive for the seizure victim and
happened to glance toward the Depository, where she saw a man with a rifle on
one of the upper floors...with the barrel pointed downward as he looked toward
the oncoming motorcade on Houston Street."
"Mrs. Walther said that the rifle was different from any she had ever
seen and had an unusually short barrel. The man holding it was wearing a white
shirt and was either blond or had light colored hair. He was standing in the
middle of the most easterly window on the floor, leaning forward. In the same
window, just to his left, she could see another man standing erect...wearing a
brown suit. She [Carolyn Walther] was not called to testify by the Warren
Commission."
"16 year old Amos Euins, testifying before the Warren
Commission...noticed that the man doing the shooting had a distinct bald spot
on his head," and the witnesses insisted that the object of their
attention was occupying the easternmost window in the Depository—the
'assassin's lair' where Oswald was supposed to have been—when the parade
arrived."
An inmate from directly across from the sixth floor of the Depository on the
sixth floor of the County Jail named John Powell "stared across from
their window into the window just across the way and watched two men with a
rifle. At first they thought that the two were security guards—until the
shooting began. Powell recalled that one of the two men had a very dark
complexion."
"Meanwhile, Richard Randolph Carr had observed a white man on the sixth
floor of the Depository, only in this instance at the next westward window
from the 'assassin's lair. Carr, who also saw activity on the knoll, was a
steel worker on the upper part of the new courthouse building under
construction at the corner of Houston and Commerce. When the shots were fired,
Carr, a combat veteran, glanced over at the Depository. Minutes later Carr was
standing on the ground ear the Depository when he recognized the very man he
had seen earlier at the Depository window on the upper floor. Carr described
this man as being a heavy-set individual with horn-rimmed glasses and a tan
sport jacket."
"It seemed fair to conclude from all the statements that a composite
visualization of the Depository sixth floor just before—and during—the
assassination added up to at least three different men: two white, one
of whom was apparently youngish and either slightly blond or with light brown
hair, and the other heavy-set with horn-rimmed glasses; and one distinctly
dark-complexioned, very possibly of Latin origin. Whether they had one rifle
or two was unclear. The youngish, thinner white man was seen holding one while
he stood back of the westernmost window (at the opposite end of the
'assassin's lair.' "
"After reading the statements of these eyewitnesses, I knew that Lee
Oswald could not have shot John Kennedy from the 'assassin's lair' as the
Warren Commission claimed. Unlike the man who was observed shooting from the
lair, Oswald did not have a bald spot, or was he 'dark-complexioned' or
'Spanish-looking.' In my mind at this point, it was still possible that Oswald
was somehow involved in the assassination, but it seemed clear that others had
participated in the shooting, both from the grassy knoll in front of the
President and from the Book Depository behind him."
Multiple assassination rifles
Garrison had more to say about the rifles, "...after his arrest Lee
Harvey Oswald was questioned while in the custody of Captain Will Fritz, head
of the Dallas Police Homicide Division, As a prosecutor, I knew that recording
of such questioning is routine even in minor felony cases. Yet, according to
what I read in the Warren Commission hearings, the alleged murderer of the
President of the United States had been questioned for a total of 12 hours
without any taping or shorthand notes by a stenographer. Nor was an attorney
present. The absence of any record of the interrogations of Oswald revealed a
disregard for basic constitutional rights that was foreign to me. This could
not be mere sloppiness, I realized."
"Oswald's fingerprints were never found on the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle
he was alleged to have used. [in the assassination]," said Garrison.
"A great deal of confusion surrounded this second-rate Italian rifle
because there was compelling evidence that it was not the weapon found in the
assassin's lair [on the sixth floor of the Texas Book Depository] shortly
after the assassination. Officer Seymour Weitzman who had an engineering
degree and also operated a sporting goods store, was recognized as a authority
on weapons....Weitzman identified it as a 7.65 Mauser, a highly accurate
German-made weapon. Deputy Sheriff Roger Craig was also there and later
recalled the word “Mauser" inscribed in the metal of the gun....There
is, of course, a significant difference between a first-class Mauser and a
cheap mail-order Mannlicher-Carcano...no ammunition clip was ever found. The
clip is the device that feeds the cartridges into the rifle's firing chamber.
Without such a clip, the cartridges have to be loaded by hand, making fast
shooting such as Oswald was alleged to have done impossible. The Warren
Commission skirted this problem by never confronting fact," raising
additional serious questions of obstruction of justice.
"Complicating the matter even further, the Mannlicher-Carcano
triumphantly produced as the 'assassin's rifle' was found to have a badly
misaligned sight. So badly was the sight out of line with the barrel that an
adjustment was necessary before government riflemen could complete their test
firing. Even so, no rifle expert was ever able to duplicate that feat that the
government attributed to Lee Oswald."
"But even this revision of the official story did not explain the
third rifle. A film taken by Dallas Cinema Associates, an independent film
company, showed a scene of the Book Depository shortly after the
assassination. Police officers on the fire escape were bringing down a rifle
from the roof above the sixth floor with the tender care you might give an
infant. When the policemen reached the ground, a high-ranking officer held the
rifle high for everyone to see. The camera zoomed in for a close-up. Beneath
the picture was the legend, 'The Assassin's Rifle.' When I saw the film, I
noted that his rifle had no sight mounted on it. Thus it could not have
been either the Carcano or the vanished Mauser, both of which had sights. I
was not surprised to find that this third rifle, like the Mauser, had
disappeared."
Lee Harvey Oswald: super human
"...Oswald had been seen in the lunchroom down on the second floor of the
Depository less than two minutes after the shooting. He not only had appeared
composed and relaxed, but was drinking a Coke which he had bought from the
vending machine. For him to have finished his historic shooting feat (causing
eight wounds in two men in less than six seconds), then hidden the rifle
beneath the piles of boxes which Officer Weitzman described, then run down
four flights of stairs, then stopped for a Coke at the vending machine—all
in less than two minutes without losing his breath—would have required that
Oswald move at nearly the speed of light," said Garrison.
"But the most obvious and compelling piece of evidence exonerating Oswald
was the 'nitrate' test he was given on the evening of the assassination.
Simply put, this test reveals the deposits of nitrate on an individual's cheek
when he or she has fired a rifle. The nitrate test result indicated that Lee
Oswald had not fired a rifle on November 22, 1963. However, for reasons best
known to the government and its investigators, this fact was kept secret for
ten months. It was finally revealed in the Warren Commission report."
Revenge of the Cabell ?
There are substantial reasons to question whether a powerful man named Cabell
was part of what Jim Garrison proved was a Kennedy assassination cabal.
When Garrison began to question who would have had the influence to literally
change the route of the Kennedy motorcade at the last minute so that it would
pass through Dealey Plaza and the Texas School Book Depository, his secretary
Sharon Herkes began to search for information about Dallas mayor Earle Cabell
but only found a lot of information regarding General Charles Cabell, who had
been deputy director of the CIA.
Garrison called an attorney friend who confirmed that CIA General Charles
Cabell was the brother of Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell; but the New Orleans
District Attorney also discovered that President Kennedy had recently fired
General Cabell who had been in charge of the Agency's failed Bay of Pigs
invasion.
Kennedy had flatly turned down Cabell's request to employ fighter planes from
nearby U.S. aircraft carriers to insure the success of the Cuban invasion, and
shortly thereafter, Kennedy asked for Cabell's resignation; and he was
replaced on February 1, 1962 as CIA deputy director—but what was more
important was the fact that General Cabell's hatred for Kennedy "became
an open secret in Washington."
Garrison's analysis was both perceptive and prescient: "In most
countries, a powerful individual who had been in open conflict with a national
leader who was later assassinated would receive at least a modicum of
attention in the course of the posthumous inquiry. A major espionage
organization with a highly sophisticated capability for accomplishing murder
might receive even more. Certainly a powerful individual who also held a
position in a major espionage apparatus and had been at odds with the departed
leader would be high on the list of suspects."
"However, General Cabell, who fit that description perfectly, was never
even called as a witness before the Warren Commission. One reason may have
been that Allen Dulles, the former CIA director (also fired by President
Kennedy), was a member of the Commission and handled all leads relating to the
Agency. And during the nine years that Dulles had been the CIA's chief,
General Charles Cabell had been his deputy."
[Perceptive and well-informed Americans will undoubtedly begin to associate
and compare the Warren Commission obstruction of justice—followed by similar
obstruction by later congressional committee members—with that of the
September 11 Kean Commission, as many of the same types of obstruction,
mishandling of evidence and major conflicts of interest involving high
officials are also present. TF]
Garrison blows away the theories with the facts
Perhaps the best summary of the greatest cover-up prior to the September 11
attacks can be found on the back of Jim Garrison's book ON
THE TRAIL OF THE ASSASSINS. We recommend that all Americans take the time
to read or re-read the book, as it outlines many similarities to the failed
September 11 probe recently conducted by the Kean Commission.
"In 1967, New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison dared to do what
no other law enforcement official had ever attempted—to bring JFK's true
assassins to justice. Ridiculed by the press, denounced by the FBI, and
harassed by the CIA, he was tormented by those who clung fast to the idea of
Oswald as villain. With his career on the line, Garrison persisted in the
allegations no one wanted to believe—that factions of our government were
behind it all. This is Jim Garrison's story, the only man ever to successfully
bring a conspirator to trial. This is also the story of pervasive subterfuge,
the Dallas Police Department's outright lies and deceptions, the Warren
Commission's blind omissions of facts, and the mysterious deaths of key
witnesses just before testimony. Now, Garrison unveils the vicious plot that
duped a nation and takes us clue by clue through the investigation that
revealed the greatest conspiracy and cover-up of our time —the assassination
of JFK."
